The Society held an information evening in order to stimulate local interest by showing the benefits of joining the Society. The Committee were there to answer any questions and to give out information on the various research resources that are available to members. Our webmaster also demonstrated on the laptop Scotland’s People website, which will be available at workshops after each of our monthly meetings. This website has access to Scottish births, marriages and death certificates.
It was unfortunate that the rather inclement weather kept the numbers down, but we were fortunate to get two new members.
